Know about D.El.Ed
D.El.Ed stands for Diploma in Elementary Education. It’s a two-year professional course designed to train teachers for teaching students from class I to VIII. The program covers teaching streategies, child psychology, curriculum planning, and other essential skills needed in elementary education for teaching students.

Each year, SCERT conducts a Pre qualifying test for admission in the various D.El.Ed institutes across the state.
Important dates for Assam D.El.Ed Admission 2025 (Expected)
While the official notification for 2025 hasn’t been released yet, based on previous years, here is the expected dates of admission –
Application Start Date – May 2025
Last Date to Apply – June 2025
Admit Card Release – July 2025
PET Exam Date – July or August 2025
Result Announcement – August 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification – You need to passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks. (Relaxation is also available for reserved categories.)
Age Limit – Candidates should be between 18 to 34 years as of July 1, 2025. Relaxation is also applicable.
Domicile – Need to be a permanent resident of Assam.

Selection Process –
After you passed the Pre-Entry test you will be selected and will be invited for document verification, after which they will be allotted seats in various DIETs (District Institutes of Education and Training) and private D.El.Ed colleges in Assam.
