Eligibility Criteria needed –
Candidates must have a strong academic background and meet the following requirements –
A. Qualifying Examinations (At least one of the following with a valid certificate) –
- UGC-CSIR-NET Fellowship (Note: SLET/Lectureship not accepted)
- JEST
- ICMR-JRF or ICAR-JRF
- DBT-JRF Biotechnology Eligibility Test
- GATE (in Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or Biotechnology)
- JGEEBILS
B. Academic Qualifications (At least one of the following with a valid certificate) –
- Minimum 60% in B.Sc. and 55% in M.Sc. from a recognized university.
- For five-year integrated M.Sc./B.S.-M.S. programs: Minimum 55% aggregate.
- Candidates with a four-year research-based B.S. degree: Minimum 75% aggregate.
- Final year students awaiting results for M.Sc., integrated M.Sc., or research-based B.S. programs are also eligible to apply.
Salary details –
- Initial Stipend – Rs.37,000/month (as JRF for 2 years)
- Upgraded Stipend – Rs.42,000/month (as SRF from 3rd year onward, based on performance)
- Tenure – Up to 5 years
- Additional Support – Rs.60,000 per year as a contingency grant (includes book allowance)
