Exam Name – Combined Competitive Examination (CCE)
Conducted By – Assam Public Service Commission (APSC)

The APSC Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) is held in two stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
2. Main Examination (Written + Interview)

Preliminary Examination

The Prelims consist of two objective-type General Studies papers, each carrying 200 marks.

Details of APSC CCE Prelims 2025:

• Exam Name – APSC CCE Preliminary Examination 2024\
• Type of Questions – Multiple-choice (Objective)
• Number of Papers – 2 (General Studies–I & General Studies–II)
• Total Marks – 400 (200 marks each)
• Duration – 2 hours per paper
• Negative Marking – 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer

Main Examination

The Main Exam includes both a written test and an interview.

• The written section has six General Studies papers.
• Marks obtained in both the written exam and the interview will decide the candidate’s final merit ranking.

APSC CCE Main Examination – Paper Details

The Main Examination consists of six descriptive papers. Each paper is of three hours duration and carries 250 marks.

1. Paper 1 – Essay
   • Marks – 250
   • Duration – 3 hours
2. Paper 2 to 5 – General Studies
   • Each paper carries 250 marks
   • Duration – 3 hours per paper
3. Paper 6 – Subject Paper on Assam
   • Marks – 250
   • Duration – 3 hours
